The department combines contents in the fields of teaching, learning and training, with an emphasis on the relationship between theory, research and practice concerning innovative pedagogies, as well as personal and professional development of educators.
Bachelor’s Degree in Special Education
Special education is a field that deals with theoretical, research and therapeutic aspects of processes of learning, education and development of children with special needs, while emphasizing the areas of research, development and implementation, including education, study, prevention, diagnosis and treatment. Selected areas include sensory impairments, developmental disabilities, emotional problems and behavioral problems, learning disabilities and communication disabilities.
Bachelor's Degree in the Department of Leadership and Policy in Education
The purpose of studying in the department is to develop the understanding in the field of policy, organization and administration in education, with an emphasis on the broad social and cultural context and its impact on the wider formal and informal education system. Furthermore, the studies focus on a broad understanding of the local school system (Israel) and global (international) one in an attempt to foster analytical, critical and innovative thinking. As part of the studies, the student will be exposed to knowledge in the fields of sociology and anthropology, philosophy, policy research, administrations and organizations research.
