“Starting Together” Mentoring Program Launches

The “Starting Together” Mentoring Program 2024 is underway!!!

 Do you remember the first day of school?
Do you feel like you are completely in control of things today?

The team of the Academic Excellence Unit at the Deanship of Students is looking for you!

If you are a second-year student or older with a grade point average of 80 or higher,

Come be part of the unit’s mentor team For academic excellence at the Deanship of Students of the University of Haifa and receive a scholarship from us for the first semester in the amount of NIS 1,000. What is required of you: – The scope of the activity is approximately two hours per week, during the first semester. – Creating a WhatsApp group for new students (first year). – Conducting a group meeting for first year students that includes a campus tour, before the start of the semester.

–  Conducting a final and summary meeting at the end of semester 1 (frontal/Zoom).

–  Availability online in the group, by email and face-to-face on any matter or question related to campus life.

Candidates who are found suitable for the mentor role will undergo training:

–  Participation in a mentor training meeting delivered by the program leader, in September 2024 – – Attendance is mandatory!

–  A mid-semester meeting for all mentors to transfer information and receive a status report – Attendance Required! Applications can be submitted until Thursday, September 12, 2024. Assessment centers will be held during September 2024. Please reserve the date that suits you in the form below. Training sessions will be held on Tuesday, September 24, 2024 at two times (of your choice): Session 1 – at 10:00 AM Session 2 – at 14:00

The duration of the meeting is approximately two hours.
