2023 

The University of Haifa is proud to host the 46th Annual Conference of the International Group for the  Psychology of Mathematics Education (PME46) on July 16-21, 2023. The conference theme is “Mathematics Education for Global Sustainability.” 

Michal Ayalon will present a paper titled “Exploring the use of argumentation classroom situations to enhance teachers’ noticing-of-argumentation” in international symposium on “What Constitutes Teacher Noticing of Critical Events?” at the 2023 Annual Meeting of the American Educational Research Association in Chicago (USA).

Shai Olsher will lead the Topic Work Group on curricular resources and task design in mathematics education (TWG22) at the 2023 13th Congress of European Research in Mathematics Education. (link)

Laurie Rubel, together with J. Shahbari, will present a paper titled “Teachers & The Gender Equality Paradox in Math“ at the 2023 Annual Meeting of the American Educational Research Association in Chicago (USA) (link)

Michal Ayalon, together with Despina Potari, Giorgios Psycharis, and Samaher Nama presented a paper titled “Transforming critical events through script writing in mathematics teacher education” at the 2022 Annual Meeting of the International Group for the Psychology of Mathematics Education held in Spain. 

Michal Ayalon and Samaher Nama presented a paper titled “Exploring Change in Secondary Mathematics Teachers’ Noticing of Argumentation” at the 2022 Annual Meeting of the International Group for the Psychology of Mathematics Education held in Spain. 

Michal Ayalon and Sigal Rotem presented a paper titled “From a Pre-service to Novice Mathematics Teacher: Changes in Attending to Critical Events” at the 2022 Annual Meeting of the International Group for the Psychology of Mathematics Education held in Spain.
